It was partly inspired by some fish and chip shops near the Gold Coast that combined a takeaway service with a sit-down restaurant.
Below shows some of the outdoor seating, which matches the tables and chairs inside the restaurant. Inside a white curved wall is visible - that is the counter where orders are taken and food is cooked.
On the outside wall there is a window that folds down into a counter. This is where takeaway orders are picked up from.
I have several grey sharks, but only one white one. It made a perfect "sculpture" to be over the front door of the restaurant, clearly marking it as serving seafood.
Customers ask to see the wine list.
The chef buys fresh ingredients - straight from the morning's catch!
The restaurant is built on a 16x32 baseplate, like the apartment building. There was only one thing for it - the beach would have to expand to be 2 baseplates wide - more on that next time!
