The most recent Star Wars themed MOC competition I built something for was for Australia Day.
As January is in the middle of the southern hemisphere's summer, a day at the beach is a perfect scene. Here's my build.
And now let's have a look at some of the details...
Here two troopers arrive carrying an esky (cooler). The round bricks joined by a 1x2 plate are meant to represent drink six-packs. Not only are yellow and green Australia's national sporting colours, they're also the packaging colours of two popular domestic beers.
One Stormtrooper sits at a picnic table with his drink while his friend cooks sausages on the barbecue. He cooks in true Aussie style - drink in one hand, tongs in the other.
Another regular on Australian beaches, the seagull.
Below are some surfing Stormtroopers. The guy on the left is my favourite detail of this little scene. I gave the Stormtrooper the bare-chested Lifeguard torso. By removing the Stormtrooper hands, the old torso now looks like it's a shirt being taken off.
Most upsetting for the hard-working Stormtroopers enjoying a day off is that the X-Wing pilot gets all the attention from the girls...
