The Horse's Head

The next building I made for Minotaur Bay was a pub, The Horse's Head. I wanted an old-style look for the architecture, so took a lot of the pieces from one of my favourite Castle sets, the Medieval Market Village. The horse-head sign from over the blacksmith makes a great painted pub sign.

Without raising the building, it's a little difficult to make a cellar. So this pub has barrel storage in an attic instead.

Much like the Seaside Apartments, I built the pub (and the cafe) in modular fashion, with every level easily removable for ease of storage and transport. Below is the ground floor, furnished and populated with city workers.

I used a different colour "cheese slope" on top of each tap to represent different beer varieties.

While the ground floor has engineers and construction workers, the upstairs floor is the drinking venue of choice for the city's pilots, police officers and ship captains.
